Cannon Arts Board created this site to offer our community a reliable calendar of arts and culture related events as well as offer information about the various arts groups in town who welcome new members and/or volunteers to join their efforts. The site is designed to inspire the community to come together through art! So, whether you enjoy being a member of the audience or have a desire to be on stage or create, there's something here for you!

Our colorful canoe logo:
In historic times, Native Americans and traders frequently hid their canoes near the river's mouth, away from the heavily traveled Mississippi River, because of this the French Fur Traders named the stream Riviere aux Canots" or River of Canoes, now know as The Cannon River.
The colorful canoe represents forward motion, going with the natural flow of things and showing off your true colors in artistic ways. The Canoe logo also helps us highlight the beautiful natural landscape of our community, with the river, the bluffs and the beautiful "falls" inspiration abounds for artists of all levels of participation.
